Cape Cod and its “great Outer Beach” were written about by Thoreau many years ago, saying “A man may stand there and put all America behind him.” It is all protected inside the United States National Seashore. There are over 40 miles of sandy beach that are unspoiled, ponds, marshes, and uplands that support many varied species. 

The cultural landscapes, lighthouses, and bogs of wild cranberries give you a look at Cape Cod’s past and its continuing ways of life. This area of Massachusetts offers visitors swimming beaches, walking as well as biking trails and a beauty that can only be a part of New England.

These beaches are beautiful even more so at night where you can stand and see all the historic lighthouses in this area. So, no matter the time you visit one of these many beaches, they each have a beauty of their own. If you have never been to Cape Cod, you really should plan a vacation in this area.

If you like golf, there are also some beautiful courses and you can go there while your wife hits the many shops in the little villages in this area. No matter what you are looking for you are sure to find it in these unique shops.

Who wouldn’t love a Cape Cod t shirt showing where you have been; when I was a kid, I loved the t-shirts by father would bring me.
